Hello Again world

Today I was talking to someone at work and said that Christianity is not about making people feel guilty!  He laughed, he was an ex Catholic!

It is true though - we are not meant to feel guilt - God in Christ is all about forgiveness and grace.

Ok we fall short of the goodness he expects but all we have to do is say sorry and it is wiped clean, all is swept away because that is what God wants to do - he want's us to be free from guilt and the baggage that holds us back from doing things that make his/our world better!

Holiday Pics

l
We went to Ynys Mon again - where else  - here we see the Skerries from Cemlyn
The cliff tops with Gorse, heather, Stonechats and Chough at Ynys llawd draw us back everytime.
We walked soutjh from th cottage and were rewarded by sights like this  (Edward was by this time caked in mud having fallen over on the Estury part of the walk!!)
A window , said to given in thanks for a son, home safe from the wars - this time Bosworth!
The mainland from the Traeth Mawr, the sun shone - the light called  - we are coming back/
Under a modern cap this burial chamber over looks the sea at Port Trecastell and we were lucky enough to get in side the usually locked gates, the Cadw  people were checking it out.
The view from the Cottages front door,  part of the reason we keep coming back!

Mayor making

I went to mayor making yesterday and had a good time.  Our new mayor is a good honest bloke - a quaker and the quaker grace confused people nicely.  It was nice to have a moment of quiet.
It will be fun to see how the mayoral years progresses - I think he will shake up a few things. Good!

Time to Blog!

A Twitch

Just over the hill is Hollingworth lake and there was a rare American bid visitor and i went to find it.

And here it is -- yes thats right a Pied Billed Grebe -  Impressed  - probably not  but this lot  and many many others were

As the birders walked from the car park around the reservoir to where the bird was - I could see in their walk and anxious faces (and in me too) the silent prayer "let it still be there"  and of course it was (it still is)  and when we saw it there was a relaxation, a breathing out, we were excited, thrilled to be there and to see this liitle bird which had, somehow, crossed the Atlantic and ended up if the South Pennines.  Afterwards people strolled back and I saw in faces of the later arrivals that same suppressed excitement - the same hope that I had when I walked that way half an hour before.  A good one!!

A couple more pics I took of some of the water works around the reservoir.
